1.Six Flags White Water 

Six Flags White Water is the perfect place to take your kids for a day of fun. The 70-acre water park is the largest waterpark in the south and features a variety of attractions for all ages. For the most adventurous thrill seekers, the Tornado is a 60-foot-tall water tunnel that churns 5,000 gallons of water. For your younger ones, there is a kids' cove with a lazy river. With so much to do, your kids will have a blast!

2. Marietta Fire Museum 

Located only two blocks off the Marietta Square downtown, the Marietta Fire Museum contains antique fire apparatuses, tools, and gears from the 1800s. Such as an 1879 Silsby Steamer, a horse-drawn steam-powered pump (and one of only five in the world!). You can take a self-guided tour or schedule a guided tour. Members of the fire department themselves sometimes give tours. Visitors have said the museum is exceptionally kid-friendly and great for kids 4+. It is free, but donations are appreciated.

3. Andretti Indoor Karting 

Looking for a fun-filled activity the whole family can enjoy? Andretti Indoor Karting in Marietta is the perfect place. With European-designed indoor tracks and karts that go up to 40 m.p.h., your kids will love to zoom around the bends and curves. When they need a break from racing, they can check out the 120 video and arcade games, 7D Dark Ride Motion Theater, or take on the cosmic rock wall, zipline, and ropes course. For the adults, there are professional-grade Cruden race simulators. Be sure to ask about the military discount they offer!

4. Sope Creek Loop 

Looking to spend some time in nature? Sope Creek Loop runs on the Chattahoochee River and is approximately 1.5-3 miles long, depending on your chosen path. This beautiful hike features many incredible sights. The kids will love exploring the picturesque Civil war era paper ruins destroyed in 1855 by Union troops. Along the trail is also Sibley pond, an exceedingly clear pond where your little ones can easily spot turtles and large fish. Leashed dog-friendly, this heavily wooded canopy of trees makes for a beautiful and peaceful hike the whole family can enjoy.

5. Eat at Mac's Chophouse 

After a long day of activities, Mac's Chophouse is a great place to take your kids for a wonderful meal. In the heart of Marietta Square, this modern-vintage revival of the classic American steakhouse now features a kid's menu. Using their locally sourced ingredients, they've added a menu that will please even the pickiest eaters. There is grilled Georgia white shrimp for our more adventurous eaters. For finickier palates, Mac's menu features buttered noodles with parmesan cheese and chicken fingers.
