     2. Visit Glover Park

At the center of Marietta Square lies the historical Glover Park. This picturesque setting is home to Marietta’s iconic fountain, framed by old-growth oak trees and red brick walkways. Throughout the year you’ll find community events, live performances on the stage, plus seasonal decorations and plantings. Walk through the park, let the kids play on the train playground, or grab a bench for some good old fashioned people watching. Don’t forget to check out the City of Marietta Events Calendar to find out what’s happening this month.

     3. Shop the Square

The Marietta Square is packed with unique, one-of-a-kind shops. Visit Rocket Fizz and explore endless selections of candy, treats, and gourmet sodas. From childhood classics like saltwater taffy to quirky sweet treats like gummy sushi, you’re sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Not into candy? Their gourmet soda selection is unrivaled. Pick up a bottle of Butterbeer, take home some Mexican Coca-Cola, or dare someone to try the Dill Pickle Soda. Close by, you’ll find Eddie’s Trick Shop is well worth stopping in, with ornate costumes and masks, magic tricks, friendly pranks, and other fun surprises tucked away inside.

     4. Meander Through a Museum

The Marietta Museum of History is located right off the Historic Square, with three levels of local artifacts and exhibits on display. Showcasing the long history of Cobb County and the City of Marietta, the museum houses permanent collections that highlight the industries of the area, the home lives of residents, and the role of war and military movements.
